In a concerted effort to broaden health insurance coverage, the Honorable Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Mohammad Ali Pate, hosted Chief Executive Officers of Health Maintenance Organisations (HMOs) at a breakfast meeting held at Radisson Blu in Lagos.

In his keynote address, Prof. Pate outlined the federal government’s plans to extend health care coverage to all Nigerians, irrespective of their socio-economic status. He emphasized that the government is committed to achieving this goal through various programs, including the Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF).

Kicking off the event, Dr. Kelechi Ohiri, Director General of the National Health Insurance Authority, underscored the importance of collaboration and partnership among stakeholders in driving the agenda for Universal Health Coverage in Nigeria.
