GIFSHIP provides health insurance for different categories of people whether employed or not. Who Can Join:

• • 1. Small businesses with less than 10 employees.

 

• • 2. Associations, Unions, Charities, and other similar organizations.

 

• • 3. People who work for themselves, with their families, or in small groups.

 

• • 4. Retired individuals and groups of retirees.

 

• • 5. People living abroad who want to be part of the programme by paying for their relations and friends in Nigeria.

 

• • 6. Foreigners residing in Nigeria.

 

• 7. Individuals who are financially supported by members of the National/State Assembly or philanthropists, among others.

GIFSHIP has different categories:

• • 1. GIFSHIP-g: for the general public not covered by other plans.

 

• • 2. GIFSHIP-c: for National/State Assembly members and their constituents.

 

• • 3. GIFSHIP-r: for retirees.

 

• 4. GIFSHIP-n: for National Youth Corps members.

How to Join:  (a) For individuals and families:

• • 1. Visit an NHIA office and register.

 

• • 2. Pay the annual premium online or at the bank.

 

• 3. Get your NHIA ID card.

(b) For groups:

• • 1. Visit an NHIA office to collect forms for all the members.

 

• • 2. Submit the completed forms

 

• • 3. Pay the group annual premium online or at the bank.

 

• 4. Get NHIA ID cards for everyone.
