He hails from Marama town , Hawal LGA of Borno State. He commenced his Public Service career at the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) as Admin Officer II. Joined the Authority (Scheme then) as Assistant Manager in the then Corporate Affairs Department in the year 2001. He headed various Units under the Corporate Affairs Department including Office Equipment and Furniture, Transport, Security, Estate Management, Human Resource Information System, Training and Capacity Development. He also served as the Assistant General Manager (Chief of Staff) to the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer’s Office between 2014 to 2016 and served three (3) Chief Executive Officers within the period. He also held various roles at the State Offices of the organisation, which includes Gombe, Yobe and Adamawa State Offices in the North East Geo-Political Zone of the country. He attended University of Maiduguri amongst other institutions, including Metropolitan School of Business and Management, London, United Kingdom. He is a Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) Certified Practitioner, Fellow of the Association of the Public Procurement Practitioner’s of Nigeria (APPON), Member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), IT Vendor Management Training, Koenig/ISACA Global IT Consultants, Member of the Project Management Institute (Certified Project Management Professional (CPMP), World Bank Procurement Framework Certificate (Latest Version). He has attended various other Leadership, Management and Procurement Professional Courses across the globe. He is presently the Director, Procurement Department at the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).
